Party Like a Badger!

"We've only been here an hour!" Elma protested. Dimia laughed.

"You could have been here the whole time. You live here," Dimia reminded her. Elma huffed and Dimia looked at her glass. She finished just one Butterbeer. She snagged a few pastries before they got cleaned up. She felt good. Not tipsy. But, she felt really good. Her belly was warm and she felt great. She ate the pastries as she started to walk back with Alec and Reyna. They started to walk back.

"So, are we going back to studying? Or, straight to bed?" Alec asked her. Dimia shrugged.

"Honestly, I think the bed would be best. I don't think I could work on any more papers," Dimia told him. He nodded.

"Good night Reyna," Dimia told her friend, heading into the Gryffindor common room. Thirty minutes later, Dimia was safe in her bed, sound asleep.

Reyna finished her drink just as the party was coming to a close. So much drama had gone down within the short amount of time she was there; if this was how all the house parties were, she didn't want to come to the next one.

"Next party's at Ravenclaw!" a guy announced cheerfully.

Great, she thought. Dimia and Alec left, and Elma was knocking on the Hufflepuff girls' dorm, trying to coax Elsa out. Reyna went to find Symon - he was sitting in a corner drinking firewhiskey.

"You okay?" she asked, sitting next to him.

"Pfft, I don't know," he sighed, looking at the ground.

"You're upset because Adele was upset," she guessed.

"I just have the feeling that no matter what, she's always gonna be hung up on him," Symon admitted, taking another gulp. "Maybe we should just cool it for a while..."

"Symon, you ready?" Jacob called over to him.

"Yeah, coming," he said, standing up.

Reyna grabbed his arm and pointed at the bottle in his hand. He sighed and put it on the table, then left with the guys.

"She's not coming out," Elma yawned. "Let's get out of here."

Reyna yawned as well, and they headed back to Ravenclaw.

Deirdre made it back to the dormitory just as the party was called to a close. She was honestly glad for it. First she had arrived late and then all of the drama unfolded. Who needed parties full of snobby noble men and women when there were ones just as bad at school?

The Irish girl contemplated telling the others that she was the one who hexed Elsa for being a little harpy. The worst that could happen was the Prefect getting her in trouble and taking points away. Most of them were leaving anyway so she decided to come clean the next day over breakfast.

"Good night, everyone." She called out before heading to her room to sleep.
