| Arya wrapped her cloak tightly around her as she walked, not letting the brisk wind get her down. She was in a rare mood today; as nippy as it was outside, she wanted to explore. Not anything crazy, like the forest.
“Blast this wind,” she cursed as her hair whipped around and slapped her in the face.
Still, she plowed on. Arry was determined to find a peaceful place, one where she could sit and be alone with her thoughts. She almost felt the need to bring out some parchment and make a list of all the things on her mind: the forest with Mitri, the alliance with Kolby, the previous day’s trip to Hogsmeade, and most of all…Quidditch.
Arya hadn’t gotten the chance to practice since the last flying lesson, but it was practically all she could think about. As much as she hated to admit it (Arya was a rather stubborn girl) she had never really been good at anything. Adequate, yes, passable, but…..she had never been praised. Never been told she was a natural, never been told she was talented.
“Oh, bloody hell!” she shouted as a gust of wind shot her forward, tripping over a tree root and sending her flying.
She caught herself before hitting the ground; or more like before hitting the water. How had she not noticed she’d come to the lake?
“Arya?” She braced herself when she heard the familiar snide and sneering voice behind her.

| Kolby chuckled and watched Arya almost trip.
"Are you okay?"he asked, picking up a stone. He threw it towards the middle of the frozen lake. It slid a little ways and he threw more.
"So, when are we gonna get Nadia? We've had this plan for a while. I'm sick of waiting. Let's put it into action. What are we waiting for?"he asked, sitting under a tree. He swatted at a Pixie that buzzed around his ear. It giggled and flew into the tree.
Kolby shook his head and looked over the lake. The giant squid was moving around under the ice, trapped in the freezing environment. His black body moved around, trying to keep warm. Kolby chuckled and threw a rock at him.

| Arry grimaced as she turned to see Kolby. Could she not just have one moment of peace and quiet? She had half a mind to kick him in the shin, climb up that tree, and pretend she never even saw him.
“I’ve been thinking,” she muttered, watching him throw rocks. “Maybe we should put it off a bit longer…or just not do it.”
She didn’t want to seem weak or scared, but Arya had a small hunch that Nadia was teaming up with Adelaine for something. She was no Ravenclaw, but Arry could still piece things together quite well: Adele and Nadia both hated Kolby, it was the only thing they had in common. What were the chances they were working together to play some foul prank on him? Why else would they even tolerate each other?
“Isn’t there anyone else you hate?” she asked, hoping the answer wouldn’t be her (she didn’t want to pull a prank on herself). “Like those lads you’ve started hanging out with?”
Arry picked up a fallen branch and began peeling at the bark, lost in her thoughts. Word around the school was that Hogsmeade was to be opened for a day for a certain few students (she hadn't asked Adelaine or Deirdre, but they were involved).
"Kolby, you snuck into Hogsmeade last time," she remembered aloud. "How did you do it?"

| "I can't stand ditsy people. They annoy me a lot. I mean, how can anyone be that naive and stupid? It's quite bizzare."he replied to her first question. He didn't mind the other boys. They were just bullying him. That's all. He could take it.
"Well, Joseph showed me. He knew I couldn't go so he decided to help me out. It the hump-backed witch statue on the third floor corridor. Why? Do you have something in mind?"he asked, throwing rocks at the lake again. But, then again, maybe it wasn't such a good idea. Who knows how many other people Arya would tell. Marigold, Adele, Deidre, Mira......He couldn't risk it spreading to the entire school. Joseph would kill him.
"Oh! Wait. Nevermind. Ellington found out and blocked it up with some complex spells. I know. Joseph tried and ended up jinxed for a week."Kolby said, adding in a little bit of fake laugther.
"Didn't you get all your shopping done anyways? Women and your shopping. That's all you want to do."he commented shaking his head. "Oh I have to get the newest shoes and the newest dress and darling, I simply can't live without this new amazing perfume."he said, impersonating his aunt's voice. He then shut up for a minute. He wasn't very good at faking.

| Arya stood in silence holding her branch while Kolby rambled on. What an idjit, she thought as she stared at him. For a Slytherin, he really was terrible at faking things. Rule number one when covering up a lie is to not over-talk that lie. He certainly had a lot to learn.
“Okay, you can shut up now,” she finally said, rolling her eyes.
She snapped the twig in half and thought. What if Nadia wasn’t working with Adele? Then they’d have wasted a perfectly good opportunity. After all, they already had everything planned out. Color the Ice Mice, charm them to chase Nadia into a cell, and shut the door locking her in with the boggart. What could go wrong?
“So, Ellington blocked it up? What a shame,” she replied, thinking fast. “Alright, forget what I said. The plan is back on. We’ll do it at the next full moon.”
In the meantime, she had half a mind to sneak into that “blocked” passage and see what Adele and the others were up to. ’Missed the chance to shop’ my arse, she thought with a grin.

| Kolby shook his head. Stupid, stupid, stupid!he thought. He sighed and threw more stones at the lake. He was bored.
"Yay."Kolby said with a wicked grin. Nadia was starting to get on his nerves. He pulled out his wand.
"Wanna practice a little?"he said, packing a snowball. He pointed his wand at it and muttered,"Colovaria." The snowball turned purple and he threw it playfully at Arya. A fun snowball fight never hurt anyone.he thought.

| Arya dodged the snowball and readjusted her cloak. The wind was picking up, and she was exhausted all of a sudden. Tossing her stick into the water, she turned to Kolby.
“I’m going in to study,” she lied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “The full moon will be in January, let’s meet in the dungeons then. I’ve got the Ice Mice.”
With that said, she walked back up to the school. She had to find out what was happening with her friends in Hogsmeade, so there was no time to waste. Arry needed a plan.
