| Deirdre stood beside a tree, staring in awe at the creature before them. It was very beautiful, but she was wary of getting close to her. It seemed agitated and she had been kicked by her own horse once before.
Just as she thought it, Arya got a kick straight to the stomach and the unicorn ran off. She ran over to her friend to see if she was seriously injured.
"Professor, I think she needs te see ta nurse." she said.

| Lenah was a bit skeptical about entering the forbidden forest even after the professor promised they'd be safe. Still going against her self-preservation instincts that were telling her not to she followed, after all it was a class.
She was incredibly glad she did because she never thought she'd get a chance to see a Unicorn up close. The Unicorn was beautiful and Lenah was mesmerized she'd never seen anything so beautiful before. her name was Dessa and it suited the creature well.
She was excited to pet the Unicorn what girl wouldn't be? She was appalled when the slytherin girl shoved her way to the front of line, it wasn't very ladylike behavior. She thought the Dessa was okay until she seemed to get spooked and kicked a poor girl in her stomach.
Lenah internally winced she could only imagine how much pain the girl was in. She knew something had to spook the Unicorn and it wasn't that rude Slytherin girl. She was starting to regret coming into the forest and she turned to face the professor.
"Sir what do you think scared Dessa so bad?"
she asked the professor curiously and even though she was a little frightened she wouldn't show it...He said he could protect them.

| Professor Harcourt jumped up from his seat and ran over to Arya. He straighten her out. The poor girl was doubled over. Whatever scared Dessa had to be pretty deadly.he thought. He looked around, sensing a small but dark presence.
"Adele, Deirdre, Marigold, Mira, Jace, Kolby, Lenah, Mitri. Form a circle around me and Arya for a second. Strength in numbers."he explained quickly, pulling out his wand. He pointed it at Arya's stomach, muttering "Examinabimus." Blue light poured from his wand and into Arya's body. He could see all her bones and organs. Bleeding. And a broken rib. Got to get her out of her.he said, looking amoung his students. Weakest links get attacked first.he thought, remembering Marigold's leg. He pulled out his pen, a secret Portkey.
"Marigold, come here."he said. He held up the pen to her.
"This will teleport both you and Arya to the hospital wing. I need you to put her on a bed and run to get any professor or even the headmistress, the first one you see. Are you ready?"he asked. The girl nodded and see grabbed the pen. She then grabbed Arya's hand and the two girls were gone. Harcourt stood up and watched as the wolves came prowling out of the forest. He knew his hunch was right.
"Strength in numbers class. Stick together."he told them reassuringly. But, honestly, Harcourt was beginning to doubt himself. He sighed and knew that he had to push that aside. He had to brave. He had to be strong.
(OOC: Examinabimus mean "examine" in Latin. It's kinda like an X-Ray.)

| Adelaine gasped when the wolves came lurking from behind the trees. She was racking her brain for answers; it was right there on the tip of her tongue. These weren’t regular wolves, but they weren’t werewolves, either. What had she read about them?
“Professor!” she exclaimed, edging herself closer to her classmates. “Don’t hurt them, they won’t harm us!”
The largest of the wolves looked directly at her when she spoke, and they locked eyes. It was almost as if he understood what she was saying. At last, she remembered what she had found out when she read an old book about werewolves, vampires, and the like.
“They must be werewolf cubs, professor,” she started, noticing the leader of the pack looked considerably calmer. “They’re only born when two werewolves…you know…get together..on a full moon.”
To her relief, a boy from her house took it from there. Adele never liked for all the attention to be on her, it was far too awkward.
“I read about that, too,” Robb nodded, stepping closer to the wolves. “They’re like regular wolves, but far smarter.”

| This is odd.Marigold thought. It felt like a fish hook was in her navel and was pulling her to the school. She held on tight to Arya. In a blink of an eye, they were in the hospital wing. Marigold helped Arya onto a bed. The nurse rushed over.
"What happened?"the nurse asked.
"Unicorn kicked her in the stomach. Take care off her. Got to go."Marigold said quickly, running off to find a professor. She ran around for a while then stopped to think. She then ran to the D.A.D.A classroom.
"Professor Renoir!"Marigold yelled, pushing open the door. She was out of breath and the gash on her leg was bleeding.
"Harcourt.....first years....in the woods......wolves.....need help."Marigold managed to say between breaths.

| Marguerite had just been grading essays (rather awful ones, at that) when her door swung open. In burst Marigold Belet, wheezing and out of breath. The sight reminded Renoir very much of Deirdre running up to her at Hogsmeade; she knew this would be bad news. Marigold gasped out a few words, hardly forming a full sentence, but it was all Renoir needed.
“Marigold, get to your common room at once,” she said, standing and grabbing her wand.
There was no time to waste, so she Disapparated on the spot. It was always a queer feeling, but one that she was used to by now. Being an expert at defensive magic, one had to be prepared for all situations. Renoir Apparated right in the midst of the crowd of worried students.
“What seems to be the -- oh!”
She gasped when she saw the wolves; now she knew what Marigold had been trying to get out. They didn’t seem to be in attack positions or anything, though. The students went silent as Renoir edged closer to the pack and crouched down a few feet from the alpha male and studied him. He peered curiously into her eyes…werewolf cubs?
“Well they certainly mean no harm, they’re just interested,” she decided, pulling out her wand as she stood. “But you never turn your back on a wolf, so they’ll have to go. Avis.”
A small flock of pitch-black ravens shot out gracefully from her wand. They flew noisily into the trees and, as Renoir hoped they would, the wolves darted after them. One problem solved, one more to go. Marguerite turned to Harcourt with an eyebrow raised.
“Scared off your unicorn, did they?”

| Harcourt felt so ashamed. He froze. He froze solid. He was supposed to protect the students. He was supposed to be the professor. But, instead, he froze and Renoir had to save them.
"Ummmm.....yeah. If you could take them back, I would appreciate it. I have to find Dessa."he said, trying not to let his emotions show. But, he felt so useless. He turned to the students.
"Class dismissed. Please follow Professor Renoir back to the school."he told them. He started through the forest when Jon Simmons, a Hufflepuff called to him.
"Thank you for the lesson professor. You're amazing."the timid boy said. Harcourt smiled and rubbed his head. That made him fell a bit better.
"Thank you Jon. Now, if you don't mind, I have a baby unicorn to find."he said confidently, walking through the forest.

| Renoir stood silent as the students gathered their things and clustered together, ready to head back to the castle. It was obvious that Leo was disappointed, maybe even ashamed. Marguerite felt awful, but what could she do? It would humiliate him more if she spoke about it. Perhaps she had come too soon, maybe he would have handled it.
"Quietly follow me," she said sternly, as some students began to chat.
Turning to go, Marguerite lead the class safely out of the forest and to the castle.

| Adelaine frowned and picked up her notes. The look on Harcourt's face was like...like a kicked puppy. She stood by the tree and waited for her friends, until she remembered that they weren't there.
"Professor Harcourt," she called out kindly. "That was a really lovely lesson; and you were quite brave when those wolves appeared."
Without waiting for a response, she turned and followed the crowd up to the castle looming in the distance.

| Mira could not have been more relieved that the lesson was over. Sad as she was to see the unicorn disappear, those wolves had given her a fright. Ever since the attacks in Paris, she'd been wary of wolves and dogs in general. Of course, the ones in Paris were probably actually werewolves; regular wolves didn't have a taste for humans. But still, one could never be too careful.
"I'm sure that girl will want these," she said, picking up Arya's notes and pulling aside a Gryffindor lad. "Give them to her when you see her."
She didn't know the Gryffindor who'd been kicked by the unicorn, but a small amount of kindness could make someone's day and she didn't want the parchment to get trampled. Mira gathered her own things then and followed Renoir to the castle.

| Kolby was still armed when Renoir came to the rescue. He felt bad about Harcourt thought. Poor guy.he thought.
"Thank you professor. It was quiet entertaining."Kolby said, watching him walk away. He followed Renoir out of the forest.
"You think he's going to be okay? He seemed really upset."Kolby asked Mira. It really wasn't his place to worry about professors but he did feel bad for Harcourt.
